#3578801 EXCLUSIVE... :::EXCLUSIVE::: Only two days after dramatic images of a wheelchair-bound Patrick Swayze were released raising false alarms to his imminent demise, Fame photographers captured the battled tested warrior walking and smiling in defiance of the cancer that has invaded his body. Images taken the 28th of August, 2009 show Patrick and his brother Donnie visiting a gas station in Los Angeles. Swayze walks unassisted and for the first time in months, without the catheters attached to his chest that dispensed medicine directly into his body. Instead the courageous actor carried the bag of medicine and tubes at his side and even smiled as the warm California sunshine beamed on his face. These pictures directly negate the severity of images taken only days before of Swayze leaving a hospital in a wheelchair equipped with an oxygen tank. Being released by medical staff and bound to a wheelchair is relatively standard operating procedure at most American hospitals when being discharged and even Swayze’s continuous medical setbacks are no match for his sheer will and determination.
